Sadza and Pizza are two words you don’t find together often but today I decided to try a new recipe of sadza in pizza format and boy it came out so well. Most people have been eating sadza the same way since birth and I think it’s high time we think outside the box and find more ways of serving sadza. This is a fun easy recipe of sadza and beef stir fry.
Ingredients
Directions
Make sure all the ingredients are ready before starting
Boil the beef until its well done, time depends on the type of beef. Make sure your cut small thin slices.
In a small bowl add 2 tablespoons of corn starch and add half cup of water and mix.
Add the corn starch mixture to the boiled beef and toss to combine.
Now time to make the sauce. In a separate small bowl, whisk together 1 tablespoon cornstarch with the half cup soy sauce, garlic and ginger. Set the sauce aside.
Heat a pan over medium heat, add cooking oil then the beef stirring constantly until the beef is fried. Transfer the beef to a plate and set it aside.
In the same pan add a bit of more oil and add the diced onions, stir for about 3 minutes then add broccoli, green pepper and carrots. Stir occasionally, until the broccoli is tender, about 5 minutes.
Add the beef to that same pan and stir for 2 minutes.
Add the soy sauce-starch sauce. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly. Set aside and keep warm
Now cook sadza the normal way but make it slightly more solid.
You will need a round shaped wooden board or any round plate to serve on.
Put the sadza on the board and flatten it while shaping it to keep it round.
Now add the beef stir fry on top of the sadza and spread evenly.
Using a knife cut the sadza-pizza slices and serve.
